Kaylen Frederick joins B-MAX Racing with their Super Formula Lights team in Japan!

Racing in the new-for-this-year Dallara 324 with the spec Toyota Yaris 3-cylinder 1.6 liter turbo engine, the championship includes six venues of three races each (see Calendar https://kaylenfrederick.com/2024-campaign-schedule/). Wearing the Number One plate and yellow livery of B-MAX Racing and Pilot ONE Racing, Kaylen Frederick is looking forward to racing in Japan!

B-MAX Racing won both the 2023 SFL Driver and Team Championships and will bring their strong history and approach to the 2024 campaign. The team is looking forward to building on the progress and momentum of the recent SFL Official Motegi testing session to ensure collaboration is successful from the outset of the 2024 championship season.

Born in Georgetown, Washington DC, the 21-year-old American racer cut his teeth in the USA and Europe before recently joining the European scene. Kaylen Frederick was crowned the British F3 BRDC champion in 2020. After three seasons in FIA F3, Kaylen is moving into the top levels of Asian open-wheel racing in Japan in 2024.

Kaylen Frederick:

“I am overjoyed to join B-MAX Racing for the 2024 Super Formula Lights F3 season. It’s extremely exciting to be a part of such a prestigious team, and to see what the future holds for our collaboration. My goal for this season is to work step-by-step, adapt to the new car, work with my team to put together a competitive package, ultimately win races and fight for the championship title. As someone that is new to the Japanese racing scene, there will be a lot to learn, and I don’t underestimate the challenges. I haven’t spent much time in Japan, but appreciate greatly this amazing country, and people. The Japanese open wheel racing series are known as championships with ‘driver’s cars’, lightweight, powerful, and with significant downforce, superb to drive and run by great teams. I am honored to start my Japanese racing career n the SFL Championship.”
